F major scale to D (4X) F G D (4X) - heavy like Cobain) F G D She came breezin' on throgh that door F G D I knew I'd seen that face before F G D Her hair was lily white G F D and it was bouncin' right off the light (4 more F-G-D) I knew her when I was in school Or from a dark room shootin' pool A summer night in the rain From Germany on the train FGD She took her place up on the stage She was a woman who had no age She went with my best friend to the prom Or a video on CD-Rom FGD She grabbed a cup and kicked off her shoes She was the lady from the evening news Or a story from a book I wrote Or a scale with a missing note FGD Her friend came into the room She was the bride and I was the groom Just a passing fancy on the street Or a night full of passion and heat FGD She was a warrior in 1502 Or the woman who gave me the flu She cleans the toilets at the mall She was the bell of the New Year's Eve Ball FGD She was a singer in a rock and roll band A stranger with a helping hand The doctor who stitched my arm A sales woman with some charm FGD She glanced and she caught my eye She stopped there but she didn't know why The room began to disappear We didn't talk but we both could hear FGD Then she went breezin' on out that door I knew I'd seen that face before Her hair was lily white And she went bouncin' right out of my life FGD 4x to end.
